Job Schedule: 9/80; Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
Job Description
This person will contribute to the company’s success by participating in digital circuit design and product integration.
This role will report directly to a Senior Engineering Manager and is responsible for successfully designing digital circuit boards for radios and associated equipment, as well as working with cross-functional teams to support product integration and manufacturing introduction.
Essential Functions
Support digital and related analog hardware research, design, and development of circuit board assemblies
Develop requirements from high-level use cases and product description documents
Digital hardware printed circuit board design including requirement analysis, high level design, schematic capture and layout analysis
Make design decisions and assess technical risks
Perform simulation and analysis such as digital signal integrity
Perform integration with other subsystems
Perform subsystem and system level verification and validation testing
Identify, track and repair assigned hardware defects
Ability to obtain a US security clearance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
Experience with automation tools such as Python, LabVIEW
Knowledge of EMI/EMC design and test techniques for conducted and radiated emissions (MIL-STD-461)
Knowledge of environmental test methods and techniques (MIL-STD-810)
Basic understanding of Radio Frequency circuits and architectures
Experience with Boundary Scan methodologies and tools
