Admissions Mental Health Technician

to join our team.
The PRN

Admissions Mental Health Technician

provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Direct of Admissions. The

Admissions Mental Health Technician

is responsible for the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention and activities of daily living.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
Knowledge of psychiatric group processes. therapeutic relationship processes, age-specific growth and development, behavioral management, crisis management with agressive behaviors
Assist with admissions, dischare and transfer procedure
Orient new patients to Fairmount Behavioral Healh
Intervene with patients during critical incidents, such as escalation, elopement, and suicidal behavior
Actively engage with patient population
Observe patient behavior and document observations according to hospital policies
Additional responsibilites as assigned
