Qualifications
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in public health or in healthcare administration, business administration, public administration, community health, or health and medical statistics, and two years of professional work experience in the field of public health.

Necessary Special Qualifications: None.

Overview
The incumbent will serve as the Regional Project & Communications Coordinator and will provide high-level support to the leadership of the regional office. The employee will develop a working knowledge of all public health programs through the analysis of program requirements, protocols, related productivity data, direct observation, and experience. The employee will combine academic knowledge of population-based public health with hands‑on public health experience to assess the strengths and weaknesses of various programs and activities and ascertain their potential impact on population health. The employee will be expected to complete additional training in performance‑management concepts to advise management regarding program analysis and overall program effectiveness, as well as training to develop and enhance leadership skills.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

Public Health program analysis and coordination of considerable difficulty.

Perform research for grant opportunities and write grants as directed for the organization.

Work with management to establish goals that are S.M.A.R.T.

Coordinate staff and patient satisfaction survey processes.

Prepare reports.

Train in Quality Improvement standards and assist QI Director on occasional audits, and develop new and innovative means of measuring progress and achieving higher standards.
