Overview Our client, a leader in aerospace manufacturing and engineering, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer Solidworks Onsite to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer Solidworks Onsite, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting product development and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title Mechanical Design Engineer Solidworks Onsite
Location Location: Urbana, Illinois
Pay Range Pay Range: $32/hr - $41/hr
What’s the Job? Conceptualize, design, and document the mechanical aspects to support the design, manufacturing, and service of aerospace products.
Provide engineering design and analysis for new product development or modifications of existing products.
Read and interpret aircraft manuals to determine system functionality and ensure compliance with technical standards.
Participate in data collection trips to assess component size and functionality, and locate suitable part substitutes as needed.
Review technical and contractual documentation to verify that designs meet all requirements and troubleshoot design or manufacturing issues effectively.
What’s Needed? Must-Haves: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 2–5 years of professional design experience. Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Excel. Eligibility Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. (No C2C / No Sponsorship available). Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance if requested.
