Job Title: Motor Coach Operator (CDL Driver) Department: Transportation Operations Reports To: Operations Manager / Dispatcher FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly or Per Trip)Position SummaryThe Motor Coach Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and courteous transportation of passengers to and from designated locations. This role requires strict adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations while providing exceptional customer service to ensure a positive travel experience.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a motor coach in compliance with all applicable traffic laws and regulationsConduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicleEnsure the safety and comfort of passengers at all timesMaintain accurate logs in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulationsFollow assigned routes, schedules, and trip itinerariesProvide excellent customer service, including assisting passengers with boarding and luggageCommunicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or mechanical issuesMaintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the motor coachHandle unexpected situations such as traffic delays, weather conditions, or passenger concerns professionallyAdhere to company policies, safety standards, and operational proceduresQualificationsValid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement (required)Air Brake (A) endorsement (required)Clean driving record with no major violationsMinimum 3 years of commercial driving experience (motor coach experience preferred)Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screeningStrong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while operating a motor coachAbility to lift and assist with luggage (up to 50 lbs)Good vision, hearing, and reaction timeAbility to enter and exit the vehicle multiple times per shiftWork EnvironmentPrimarily operates in a vehicle environment with exposure to varying weather and road conditionsMay involve long-distance travel and overnight tripsInteraction with passengers in a customer service-focused settingCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly or per-mile /per-trip payDriver gratuities (where applicable)Paid time off and holidays (Full Time Employees)Health, dental, and vision insurance (Full Time Employees)Retirement plan optionsUniforms providedAdditional RequirementsMaintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all timesZero tolerance for drug and alcohol use in accordance with DOT regulationsCommitment to safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction
