Position Summary
The Manager, Events Engineering is responsible for the daily operation, configuration, and technical execution of advanced AV, broadcast, and IP-based media systems supporting corporate events, auditoriums, and studio productions. This role is hands‑on and execution‑focused, ensuring systems are configured correctly, production workflows are followed, and live events execute reliably. The Manager works directly with engineers, technicians, vendors, and production teams to support complex live productions in high‑visibility environments.
What you'll do
AV & Broadcast System Operation
Operate and support IP-based media systems utilizing SMPTE ST-2110, AES67, PTP, and hybrid SDI/IP workflows.
Configure and monitor routing, audio, video, intercom, and control systems for live events and studio productions.
Perform system checks, signal validation, and troubleshooting prior to and during live productions.
Follow established engineering standards and operational procedures.
Live Event & Production Execution
Support technical setup, rehearsals, live execution, and strike for corporate events and broadcasts.
Ensure media routing, redundancy paths, and fail‑over mechanisms are properly configured and tested.
Respond in real time to technical issues during live productions and elevate when required.
Maintain production readiness and show continuity throughout events.
Technical Issue Resolution & Support
Serve as a first‑line technical engineer for live event and studio system issues.
Troubleshoot complex problems across media networks, intercom systems, routing control, and synchronization (PTP).
Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes.
Escalate systemic issues to Senior Manager or engineering leadership.
Vendor & Partner Coordination
Support on‑site work by AV integrators, rental vendors, and broadcast partners.
Ensure vendor activities align with technical requirements, schedules, and safety standards.
Communicate progress, issues, and scope changes to the Senior Manager.
Operational Discipline & Documentation
Maintain accurate system documentation, signal‑flow diagrams, and configuration records.
Follow change‑management processes for system updates and event modifications.
Assist with post‑event technical reviews and corrective‑action tracking.
Team Collaboration & Skill Development
Work closely with engineers, technicians, and production teams to execute events successfully.
Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior technical staff.
Support training and onboarding for new systems or workflows.
Maintain a calm, professional presence during high‑pressure live events.
Success Measures
Reliable execution of live events and studio productions.
Minimal technical disruptions during productions.
Accurate system configuration and documentation.
Effective coordination with engineers, vendors, and production teams.
Timely escalation and resolution of technical issues.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 1 year’s experience in event production related field OR 3 years’ experience in business, event planning, or related field.
A valid driver’s license.
