Job Title
Quality Assurance Sanitation Supervisor

Reports To
Plant Manager

Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective production, department planning, policies, and procedures.

Coordinate with Plant Management to develop goals and objectives.

Participate in developing and implementing department procedures and ensure they support company-wide strategic objectives.

Exhibit expert knowledge for all positions on the production floor.

Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.

Assume responsibility for the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of production functions.

Identify problems and resolve them quickly and effectively.

Complete related reports and records as assigned.

Ensure that production functions are completed in accordance with established production, safety, and quality standards.

Track operational output (efficiency, yield loss, product quality, inventory accuracy, transactional accuracy), anticipate and correct trends that could compromise financial targets.

Adjust production plans shift by shift to prevent service issues and operational inefficiencies.

Effectively supervise assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance.

Train and advise employees on current daily needs and production methods. Lead personnel to improve performance and productivity.

Manage the personnel schedule and assess staffing needs.

Provide leadership through goal setting, delegation, and communication.

Assist with personnel decisions including performance appraisals, hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions.

Maintain effective communication, coordination, and working relations with company personnel and management.

Communicate cross-functionally to solve operational issues.

Drive business changes while minimizing people impact.

Maintain an open dialogue with the assigned team and Plant Manager.

Compliance

Ensure team compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Maintain product quality and sanitation standards.

Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts and procedures.

May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field, or 3–5 years of operational management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Safety, SQF, GMP, and HACCP training/certifications.

Previous experience and understanding of budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.

Ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.

Experience using continuous improvement tools to drive improvement.

Experience enforcing safety rules and policies.

Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making.

Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others.

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following:

Wage Scale $80,168.40–$90,000.
