As an Amazon Robotics Solutions Design Engineer, you will work with talented engineers in designing and developing robotic fulfillment systems worldwide. You will design, validate, and deliver end‑to‑end robotic sortation solutions, partnering with customers, program teams, and product teams to craft safe, scalable solutions that are easy to build, deploy, and operate. You will leverage deep knowledge of dock processes, material flow, and robot technologies to innovate and develop advanced concept designs, using simulation to meet or exceed performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and create physical processing and material storage solutions using innovative technology, robotics, and data analytics to meet product flow requirements.

Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics to drive smart decisions during program and feature selection.

Coordinate and collaborate with systems and operations engineering teams to develop product features and optimize performance of fulfillment centers.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external partners, contractors, and vendors.

Develop models to solve complex engineering problems.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) or a related field, or 2+ years Amazon experience.

Experience using business and technical software such as MS Excel, Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, FlexSim, Tableau, and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated use of analytical skills to solve complex engineering problems.

Experience with automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high‑speed manufacturing.

Experience with process design based on Lean principles.

Proficiency with business and technical tools: MS Excel, Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, FlexSim, Tableau, SQL.

Ability to travel 10% globally.

Salary range for this position: USA, MA, North Reading – $78,400.00 to $137,100.00 annually; USA, MI, Detroit – $78,400.00 to $137,100.00 annually.
