Overview
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience with some background or a strong interest in land use, zoning, and municipal law to join our Municipal Practice Group in the Blue Bell office. This role offers a collaborative environment where you will work closely with experienced attorneys and clients across Montgomery, Bucks and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania.
Duties
Handle or assist with legal matters related to comprehensive planning, land use, zoning, and code enforcement.
Attend municipal meetings, zoning hearing board hearings, and code enforcement proceedings, including evening meetings.
Handle day-to-day transactional matters such as contract review, ordinance and resolution drafting as well as labor and employment issues.
Conduct in-depth legal research on planning, zoning, and property rights issues, interpreting statutes, judicial rulings, and regulatory codes.
In-depth research and drafting of briefs for land use appeals.
Qualifications
Ability to independently give clear, concise, and practical guidance in a timely manner.
Commitment to client service.
Strong follow-through skills are crucial.
Strong writing, research and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.
Proficiency with legal office software, document management and billing systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited school.
Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
