Our Design team is looking for a Civil Engineer with 3-6 years of experience. We are based in Las Vegas, NV.
Step into Your New Role The ideal candidate will participate in and contribute to a diverse range of engineering services, providing public and private clients with professional engineering services for transportation, site, and stormwater design. The work is fast paced with multiple ongoing projects and deliverables. The candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills for working in multiple groups, and a strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed.
Responsibilities Produce CAD design of drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Produce preliminary and final design plans for multiple jurisdictions
Perform hydraulic calculations for erosion countermeasures and stormwater design
Perform water and sewer analysis for main infrastructure design
Create site civil plans including grading and utility design
Prepare construction cost estimates
Read and interpret agency standard drawings and specifications
Create technical reports
Assist in preparing technical specifications
Assist in preparing documents for federal, state and local permits
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Engineer Intern Certification
3–6 years of civil engineering experience, including site civil, roadway, or drainage design
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Project)
Preferred Experience Professional Engineering registration in Nevada
Experience with HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8 and other hydraulic modeling software including WaterCAD for pressurized network systems
Experience with Nevada jurisdictions
Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
