Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years' experience in related area performing secretarial or general office work in an office with considerable public contact, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training that demonstrates desired knowledge, skills and abilities
Working knowledge of computer word-processing and Microsoft Office applications, and Google
Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents, and community members
Ability to analyze financial data
Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
Ability to complete computational tasks
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Ability to work under pressure and within many areas of responsibility at one time
Ability to use computers for email communications, word processing, data management, and other assigned tasks as related to the position
Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Utilize, with fidelity, the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program at the building level
Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position, is held in the highest of confidentiality
Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures, and Board policies; including mandatory reporting procedures
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete duties associated with transportation and food services billing
Responsible for checking, sorting, and distributing mail daily
Accept cash, check, and credit card payments, to include log payments and provide receipts
Respond to various inquiries and provide general information related to business office via phone and other means of communication
Maintain applicable reports, files, and records to provide up-to-date references and communication trail for audit compliance
Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures relating to district finance and school business management
Verify all monthly district credit card purchases against credit card statement to include filling associated documentation
Responsible to maintain business office supply stock and enter business office requisitions
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to reach with hands and arms, sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend as necessary
The employee may lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 10 pounds and could occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds
The employee will read correspondence and computer screens, and use the telephone
Work Environment:
Indoor office environment
This position regularly works indoors
The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times
Will have substantial contact with parents, students, staff, and the public
Organizational Relationships:
The Secretary reports to the Director of Finance
The Secretary will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions
All elements of good human relations will be practiced
Terms of Employment:
Initial Wage Placement Plan: Starting at $15.35 per hour
Work Year: 12 Months/8 hours
