Tool Design Engineer

Job Summary The Tool Design Engineer is responsible for applying advanced engineering expertise to design, develop, and optimize tooling systems that enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality. This position plays a key role in supporting the company’s operational objectives by driving continuous improvement initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and engineering departments.
Key Responsibilities Design and develop tooling systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring they align with production goals and product specifications.
Collaborate effectively with production teams, engineering, and quality assurance to identify tooling requirements and resolve design challenges.
Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve tooling performance, reliability, and manufacturability, incorporating cutting-edge technologies when applicable.
Manage the tool change control process, ensuring all tooling modifications comply with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support production teams by troubleshooting tooling issues, providing hands-on assistance during product launches, and ensuring smooth ongoing operations.
Develop and maintain detailed, accurate CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and other critical design documentation to support manufacturing and assembly operations.
Ensure tooling designs are cost-effective, scalable, and able to meet both current and future production needs.
Maintain compliance with 5S standards and ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Adhere to and enforce safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures across all tooling design activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Required) Education: Bachelor's
Experience: 1-3 years of relatable experience.
