Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Bindery and Shipping Lead to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the bindery and shipping departments. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality production and timely delivery of printed materials. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bindery operations and strong leadership skills. This is an associate to hire opportunity in Hartland, WI.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
Oversee the shipping department to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Coordinate with carriers and manage shipping schedules
Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation
Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and reorder as necessary
Train and mentor bindery and shipping staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback
Develop and implement standard operating procedures for bindery and shipping operations
Perform regular quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards
Implement corrective actions for any quality issues identified
Maintain detailed records of quality control checks and improvements
Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies
Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols in the bindery and shipping areas
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in bindery operations is a plus
Strong knowledge of shipping LTL, UPS, USPS & FedEx, bindery equipment and processes
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Stand for long periods and carry heavy materials
The work environment may be noisy and protective equipment may be required
Overtime may be required to meet production deadlines
