Contract (12 Months + possible extension)

Pay Rate- $65-68 an hour on W2 (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a digital accessibility consultant, supporting the design, evaluation, and remediation of accessibility issues across digital products.
Analyze digital experiences to identify accessibility gaps and recommend effective, compliant solutions.
Collaborate with Experience Designers, Content Designers, developers, researchers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure accessibility requirements are clearly defined and implemented.
Conduct accessibility reviews using both manual and automated testing techniques.
Assist in research initiatives and coordinate responses to user and customer accessibility feedback. Actively contribute to design and testing processes to ensure inclusive and accessible user experiences.
Develop and maintain accessibility guidelines for designers, developers, and architects in compliance.
Perform quality audits and support remediation planning for accessibility improvements.
Review design artifacts and deliverables to ensure alignment with established design systems and interaction patterns.
Mentor team members on accessibility best practices and the use of assistive technologies from a user perspective.
Support the development and delivery of accessibility training and awareness programs across teams.
Stay up to date with trends, tools, and advancements in accessibility and inclusive design.
Participate in user interviews and usability testing sessions with a focus on accessibility.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously within an agile environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
1-3 years of relevant experience in accessibility, UX design, or related fields.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of UX design principles, interaction design, and accessibility best practices.
Knowledge of current web accessibility standards, including WCAG.
Proficiency in semantic HTML and understanding of accessible front-end development practices.
Experience using ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) markup.
Basic knowledge of JavaScript is an advantage.
Hands‑on experience with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, iOS VoiceOver, and/or Android TalkBack.
Relevant certifications such as CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) or WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist) are a plus.
Familiarity with design thinking methodologies, workshops, and co‑creation practices.
Experience applying user‑centered design processes from concept through delivery.
Exposure to multi‑channel environments (web, mobile, devices, and physical touchpoints).
Strong collaboration skills with experience working in cross‑functional and large teams.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the capability to work independently.
