Material Handler

Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies, which may require lifting of heavy objects. Activities are procedural and well-defined, requiring limited decision-making.

Essential job functions:

• Assists in Inventory Control.
• Distribute or deliver items to appropriate departments.
• Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Knowledge of record keeping practices and basic arithmetic.
• Knowledge of safety practices.
• Skill in operating automotive, materials handling and office equipment.
• Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects.
• Skill in following both verbal and written instructions.

Performance Standards:

• Material delivered timely to production departments.
• Inventory part & pieces accurate control.
• The ability to communicate effectively with and work with other personnel.
