Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Media Systems Administrator to join the Content Studio - our client's on-site production engine, bringing together experts across video, photography, motion, design, animation, and sound. Located in Playa Vista, this facility represents a modern intersection of craft, storytelling, and advanced technology.

The Media Systems Administrator supports the full ecosystem of studio technology that powers high-volume content creation across photography, video, motion graphics, and emerging media. This role sits at the intersection of creative production and technical infrastructure, ensuring systems, workflows, and tools operate seamlessly at scale.

This is a hands‑on, service‑oriented role responsible for maintaining production environments, supporting artists and producers, and evolving workflows across post production, media systems, and AI-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives under production pressure, solves problems in real time, and actively improves the creative technology experience.

Responsibilities

Studio Systems and Infrastructure

Administer and maintain studio workstations including macOS and Windows environments, system imaging, software deployment, and network configuration

Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support across Mac and PC environments for creative and production teams

Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and media pipeline issues to ensure uninterrupted production workflows

Support and maintain shared storage systems including NAS, LucidLink, and cloud-based environments

Manage backups, redundancy, and data integrity using tools such as ChronoSync and other enterprise solutions

Media and Production Technology

Support video and media applications including Adobe Creative Cloud, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, and related plugins and toolsets

Maintain and optimize workflows for video editing bays, audio booths, and color pipelines

Support streaming and live collaboration tools including LouperIO and other remote review platforms

Assist with render workflows, media processing, and high-volume data transfer operations

Ensure proper licensing, updates, and performance optimization across all creative applications

AI and Emerging Technology Integration

Support ongoing AI initiatives across content creation, media processing, and workflow automation

Assist in integrating AI tools into production pipelines, including generative workflows, tagging, and automation systems

Collaborate with technical and creative teams to test and implement new tools that improve speed, scale, and quality

Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance studio capabilities

Skills and Requirements

3+ years experience in high-volume studio, post‑production, or media technology environments

Advanced knowledge of macOS and Windows-based creative systems and supporting infrastructure

Strong experience supporting video production tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Avid, and DaVinci Resolve

Experience with DAM systems, storage solutions, and asset lifecycle management

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, system administration, and troubleshooting

Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, production-critical environments

Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and creative teams

Background as a Digital Tech or media systems specialist in a studio setting

Familiarity with cloud-based and hybrid storage architectures

Experience supporting streaming, remote collaboration, or live review tools such as LouperIO

Exposure to AI tools and automation within creative production workflows

Experience with scripting or pipeline automation is a plus

Familiarity with VFX or 3D tools such as Maya, Houdini, Nuke, or Cinema 4D
