Facility Coordinators . In this role, you'll support events, programs, and recreational activities across multiple Parks facilities, helping ensure positive experiences for visitors of all backgrounds.
About the Role:
Facility Coordinators are responsible for supporting the safe and effective operation of Parks facilities during events, rentals, and programs. This includes monitoring facility use, assisting with event setup and cleanup, enforcing policies, and providing excellent service to patrons and renters.

About the Team and locations:
King County Parks manages one of the nation's most extensive park systems, serving diverse communities across the region.
Location 1: Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center (WKCAC), Federal Way:
This is a legacy venue and a world-class facility that includes a diving pool, Olympic-sized competition pool, and a warm water recreation pool. It hosts national and international competitions while also serving the public through swim programs, training, and events.
This role supports rentals and events such as swim meets, community programs, and banquet hall use. Responsibilities include securing the facility, assisting with set-up and clean-up, monitoring events, enforcing policies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout. Multiple positions are available at this location.
Location 2:
White Center / Skyway (Steve Cox Memorial Park & West Hill Community Center):
The
White Center Recreation Team
is dedicated to expanding recreational access and opportunities for underserved and under-resourced communities. Through strong community partnerships, the team provides meaningful programs that support youth, families, and residentsThis role supports recreational programs and scheduled use of indoor and outdoor spaces, including athletic fields and gymnasiums, while monitoring facility use and assisting patrons.Multiple positions are available at this location.
Location 3: Preston Community Center, Preston:
Thisis a historic King County Parks facility located in a scenic setting near the Cascade foothills. The site features a lodge-style building with indoor spaces and access to surrounding park amenities. It serves as a versatile community gathering space, supporting a variety of rentals and events including weddings, celebrations, and community meetings in both indoor and outdoor environments. In this role, you will help create a welcoming, well-managed environment from initial setup through event completion. You will also serve as the on-site lead for facility access, safety, and overall customer experience . Only one (1) position is available at this location.

Job Duties
What You Will Be Doing
:
Open, close, and secure facilities during scheduled events and rentals
Monitor appropriate use of facilities and enforce rules, policies, and safety guidelines
Assist with event setup, cleanup, and takedown of equipment and spaces
Provide excellent customer service to patrons, renters, and the public
Support trash and recycling management, restroom restocking, and general facility cleanliness
Respond to spills, minor incidents, and facility needs during events
Communicate with supervisors regarding issues, concerns, or incidents
Support recreational programs and activities across assigned locations
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Qualifications You Bring
:
Must be at least
18 years of age
Ability to work
evenings, weekends, and/or split shifts
Prior experience working in recreation, events, or customer service environments
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the public and team members
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to respond appropriately to emergency or unexpected situations
Willingness to perform routine cleaning tasks, including trash removal, restroom restocking, and spill cleanup
Ability to document and communicate issues or concerns as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to assist with setup, cleanup, and movement of equipment
Ability to bend, reach, and stand or sit for extended periods
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions
Ability to work in public settings, including crowded events
