Senior Communications Officer (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £40,851 - £43,270 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience
Job Purpose
An efficient and effective Marketing and Communications team is a key department within Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, supporting student recruitment and responsible for brand reputation. The Senior Communications Officer will take responsibility for the Grŵp's media relations, working closely with the Press Officer to identify strong stories from across the organisation, in order to produce well‑written features and timely press releases. Through the building of strong journalistic contacts locally, regionally and nationally, they will maximise coverage of the Grŵp and its member colleges. The post holder will also take specific responsibility for creating and planning content for a number of social media channels, working closely with the Social & Digital Media Assistant to ensure regular, relevant and engaging posts, which are demonstrative of the Grŵp's mission and strategic aims. In addition, the Senior Communications Officer will take the lead on copywriting, editing and proof‑reading work for a range of corporate publications.
