Job Description
We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who will utilize a strong academic background and experience in RF/Microwave system theory and design, including architecture, subsystems, components, and Active Electronically Steered Antennas (AESAs). The candidate will employ their knowledge of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and analytical skills in electromagnetic and microwave theory.

What You Will Do

Design and hands‑on testing of microwave components, cards, and systems while providing technical support to production activities.

Cost and schedule management.

Design of RF microwave components and phased array applications.

Integration and test of component‑level and system‑level phased array hardware.

Proposal writing and presentation experience.

Some travel to integration sites, customer, and subcontractor facilities may be required.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Relevant experience in one of the following areas:

Microwave/RF system, subsystem, and component analysis, design, and test.

Hands‑on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Genesys, Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition, and analytical tools such as Matlab.

Perform basic RF calculations and cascaded analysis.

Understand RF layout techniques from HF to X‑Band.

Qualifications We Prefer

Background designing and testing analog CCAs, including frequency conversion, automatic gain control, amplifier design, and analog filter design.

Experience in electrical interconnects and transmission line design.

Understanding of EMI analysis and mitigation techniques.

Propensity for learning through self‑study and comfort in a multi‑tasking environment.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Understanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from system to component level.

Knowledge of cost estimating, budget, and schedule management.

Experience in a production environment.

Strong academic background covering Microwave Engineering, Microwave Systems, Electromagnetic Theory, and Radar Systems.

Hands‑on experience with microwave testing techniques, including spectrum analyzers, real‑time spectrum analyzers (RSAs), vector network analyzers (VNAs), and performance network analyzers (PNAs).

Experience in technical writing, proposal writing, and oral presentations.

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 per year. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, employee scholar program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Benefits may vary by business unit and collective‑bargaining agreements.
