We are looking for an Economic & Market Research Analyst to join our onsite Kaiser Aluminum in Franklin, Tennessee! This role provides in-depth market research from various sources and is centric to the Kaiser’s planning and reporting process

Market Research Needs

Utilize various data sources, both internal and external, to gain market insight, primarily focused in our key markets of aerospace, automotive, general engineering, and packaging.

Monitor trends from market customers, competition and suppliers to broaden understanding.

Partner with Kaiser’s Commercial Team to gain insight into product categories, market trends, customer preferences and other relevant market information.

Monitor supply chain inventory levels and that impact on demand trends.

Gather, analyze and forecast future outcomes with large data sets to provide insight into industry and economic drivers.

Maintaining and expanding upon existing models that track relevant economics factors, industry & market drivers and other relevant market information.

Maintain a strong relation with Kaiser’s key associations, including the aluminum Association, to report and track global and North America production, imports and export activity.

Attend industry conferences and other trade shows that would provide insight into research process.

Prepare detailed reports of findings to various in-house customer groups, through visualizations that best articulate industry trends.

What you will bring to the role

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or applicable business degree with a pedigree for using data to answer business problems.

Prior experience gathering, organizing and reporting upon industry, economic and other relevant data sources.

Experience with MS Excel, Power BI , PPT, Access Database and/or other relevant platforms;

Experience with Data Analysis program – R is preferred.

Predicative modeling capability a plus but not required.

Three statement modeling (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, & Cash Flow) or a thorough understanding of financial modeling is a plus.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Proven ability and preference to work in teams.

Extremely high attention to detail.

An analytical mind with superior problem solving aptitude.

Efficient multitasker with excellent project prioritization.

The role will be a full time, in office role at our Corporate Office’s in Franklin TN.
