
Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Title
Job Responsibilities: Responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Along with packaging the products before shipment.
Job Duties:
Pack, seal, label, or affix shipping documents to prepare materials for shipping.
Some manual deburring and rethreading parts/prep and clean parts.
Deliver or route materials to departments using forklift, hand truck or sorting bins.
Update customer portals with logistics information as necessary.
Organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in.
Reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventory.
Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as sales orders, invoices, etc. to verify accuracy.
Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, etc. or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping.
Prepare documents, such as shippers, bills of lading, or custom documents to route shipments.
Skills and Qualifications:
3-5 years' experience in shipping and receiving or another supply chain role.
High attention to detail.
Ability to lift materials up to 30lbs.
Basic understanding of decimal system.
