Job Description Administrative Assistant
JOB SUMMARY: Administrative assistants may be responsible for, but not limited to, all office duties, including accounting, billing, charting, and patient scheduling. These support professionals are typically the first point of contact with patients, greeting them and taking initial information, which may include contact and insurance information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. H.S. Diploma or GED.
2. Prior scheduling experience preferred.
3. Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and Scheduling program.
4. Basic medical terminology.
5. Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
6. Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
7. Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Uploading orders and documents to patient charts. 2. Managing and maintaining a professional relationship and professional communication with all internal and external customers. 3. Manage outgoing and incoming orders within the company timeline. 4. Maintaining the front desk and reception areas. 5. Performing general accounting and billing services. 6. Overseeing office and medical supplies inventory. 7. Managing email and mail traffic. 8. Maintaining forms and packages as directed by the clinical manager and administrator. 9. Other duties, as assigned.
Work Environment:
Works indoors in office.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
1. Supervised by: Branch Director or Administrator
LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:
Ability to participate in physical activity.
Ability to work for an extended period while sitting, standing, and/or being involved in physical activity.
Moderate lifting.
Ability to do moderate bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis.
