Industrial Design Intern - Summer 2026
Coroflot, Chicago, IL, United States
Choi Design Group is a small, fast-moving design studio taking on ambitious work for industry-leading clients across tech, medical, industrial, and consumer products.
We’re looking for an Industrial Design Intern who’s ready to jump in. You’ll be contributing to real projects, real deadlines, and real client work from the start, supporting and collaborating with our design team.
If you’re hungry to learn, quick on your feet, and serious about design, this is where you level up.
What You’ll Be Doing
Jumping into ideation, sketching, and concept generation
Sharing work, presenting ideas, and participating in real design critiques
Building physical prototypes and supporting hands‑on model making
Assisting with product visualization and presentation assets
Supporting the team wherever needed to keep projects moving
What We’re Looking For
We want someone curious, independent, driven, and ready to contribute.
Senior‑level Industrial Design student or recent graduate
Strong sense of form, aesthetics, and current design trends
Solid sketching skills (digital and analog)
Familiarity with SolidWorks
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Positive, proactive, and eager to learn fast
Self‑motivated with the ability to take direction and apply feedback quickly
Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to keep up in a fast‑paced studio environment
Why This Internship
Real exposure to design consultancy work, not just simulated projects
Direct involvement with client‑facing design work
A tight‑knit team where you’ll learn by doing
A fast‑paced environment that will push your skills forward quickly
