Job Description
Assist the foundry staff with 6S initiatives including creating signage, documenting procedures, purchasing organizational tools and install as required.
Responsibilities
6S:
Assist the 6S Champion and area representatives with Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain and Safety activities
Signage:
Create and order signage as instructed by the 6S Champion
Assist area representatives with signage design
Install or provide maintenance team with installation instructions
Procedures:
Create procedures and audits that align with the focus of 6S
Qualifications
Be enrolled in a four-year technical program related to the foundry industry. This position will require extensive computer use. Individuals must be proficient with computers. A good working knowledge of foundry sand and sand testing, along with casting defects, is a plus.
