Part-Time Shipping And Finishing Clerk
The Part-Time Shipping and Finishing Clerk manages the preparation and dispatch of domestic and international shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to customer specifications. This role includes rewinding and packaging products, preparing shipping documents, and coordinating with external vendors for freight pick-ups. Additionally, the Clerk assists with material inspection and rework, operates relevant equipment, and oversees quality checks to ensure all processes meet defined standards.
Essential Functions
Assemble and fill boxes with ordered products to be shipped, verifying contents by comparing with supporting documents in the Label Management software system
Prepare and print shipping documents, including packing slips, bills of lading, and certificates of origin, as well as shipping labels, while processing orders according to the customer's preferred shipping method (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx)
Schedule freight pick-ups in coordination with external vendors
Unpack, examine, and inventory incoming shipments, promptly reporting any damaged items or shortages to the relevant parties
Safely operate a hand truck and forklift to efficiently move materials to the warehouse for proper storage
Inspect rolls of material and compare them with tickets to ensure they meet customer specifications, including necessary rework
Utilize equipment such as rewind tables, shrink wrappers, and rewinders to rework and finalize tickets as required
Cross-check the work of team members for accuracy and provide sign-off for quality assurance
