Our client, a leading organization in the gaming and entertainment industry, is seeking a Web Developer 2 to join their team. As a Web Developer 2, you will be part of the Xbox Game Studios Publishing support team, focusing on building and maintaining engaging, scalable, and accessible websites for popular gaming titles. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, collaboration, and technical expertise, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title Web ( WORDPRESS ) Developer
Location Redmond, WA (Initially hybrid, can be 100% remote later)
Pay Range $43.00 W2 + Benefits ( NO C2C )
Responsibilities Support the migration of existing WordPress websites to new hosting platforms, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.
Assist in updating Sage WordPress themes from version 9 to 11, enhancing website functionality and design.
Contribute to ongoing development and maintenance of multiple Xbox Game Studios websites, including popular titles like Flight Simulator.
Implement automation, pipelines, and infrastructure improvements to optimize web performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web experiences aligned with project goals.
Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in web development, particularly with WordPress sites.
Proven experience migrating WordPress websites between hosting platforms.
Experience updating Sage WordPress starter themes from version 9 through 11.
Strong PHP back-end development skills and familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Knowledge of build pipelines and automation tools like Webpack, NPM, and Yarn, along with version control systems such as Git.
