Position Description:
CGI is seeking a Stock Clerk to provide support to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Washington, DC. Your future duties and responsibilities include receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools, and compiling stock records for items in the warehouse. You will verify the receipt of items against requisitions or invoices, examine stock to ensure conformance to specifications, and store articles in bins, on the floor, or on shelves according to identifying information. You will prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock and requisition articles to fulfill incoming orders. You will compile reports on the use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments. You may mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles. You will distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of materials issued. You may adjust or repairs to articles in stock and may cut stock to size to fulfill orders.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role include previous experience in warehouse stock and inventory management. You should have working knowledge of stock and inventory management practices, including stock verification, efficient inventory management, and inventory audit reporting. You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Hourly Rate: $22.91/hour
