Responsibilities
The Work
TheFront-End Web Developer/Web Designer willspecialize in website design.Front End Developer dutiesincludedeterminingthe structure and design of webpages, striking a balance between functional and aestheticdesign,and ensuring webdesign is optimized for smartphones.
This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.
Key Responsibilities
Translatedesign wireframes into coding to create visual elements of a website
UseHTML, CSS,JavaScriptand other programming languages to create user-friendly web pages
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimizeapplications for maximum speed and scalability
Ensurethe compatibility of websites across multiple browsers and devices
Develop andtestuser interface elements such as forms,navigations, dropdowns, etc.
Ensurethat websites are accessible andcomply withweb standards
Perform maintenance and updates to existing web applications
Collaboratewith back-end developers to improve usability and troubleshoot issues
Useversion control systems to keep track of code changes
Conduct website testing and debugging
Keep up to date with the latest web trends, techniques, and technologies
Other duties as assigned.

Proven work experience as a Front-End Web developer
Hands on experience with markup languages
Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Must be able to pass a background check. May requireadditionalbackground checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Minimum Skills:
Proficiencyin web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3, to structure and design the appearance of web pages
Strong understanding of JavaScript, including JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS,KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS,DurandalJSetc.
Experience in responsive and adaptive design to ensure websites are mobile-friendly
Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design,developmentand deployment)
Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.
Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite,Photoshopand content management systems
Exceptionalinterpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s ormaster’s degree in Computer Science,Web Developmentor related field.
Experiencehandling cross-browser compatibility issues andoptimizingweb applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Knowledge in performance testing and front-end optimization, user interface design, and usability testing.
