About the Role
Our client, a prominent Berkeley-based startup that recently completed its seed funding, is seeking a Full-Stack Web Developer & Cloud Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on scalable web applications while contributing to cloud infrastructure in a high-growth environment.
You’ll have ownership of both front-end and back-end systems, building modern, high-performance applications while managing infrastructure to support global scalability. This role comes with a competitive salary and a flexible equity component, giving you a chance to grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop web applications using TypeScript, React/Next.js, and backend frameworks like Node.js, FastAPI, or Go.
- Build and operate distributed systems leveraging Postgres, Redis, and task queues.
- Design and manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform/CDK across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate product, data, and infrastructure systems.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience on platform or infrastructure teams (Vercel, Cloudflare, AWS) or high-performance product orgs (Stripe, Notion).
- Strong focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainable code.
