Part-Time Medical Receptionist
Location: Middletown, RI
Job Summary: We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Receptionist to support a busy surgical office. The ideal candidate will have experience with front desk operations, insurance processes, and patient coordination while maintaining a polished and professional presence.
Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
Answer phones and manage appointment scheduling
Verify insurance and process referrals
Handle prior authorizations for procedures (MRI, CT scans, etc.)
Assist with TDI/FMLA paperwork and documentation
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up to date
Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow
Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Previous medical receptionist or healthcare administrative experience required
Strong knowledge of insurance processes, referrals, and prior authorizations
Experience with TDI/FMLA paperwork preferred
Professional appearance and demeanor (surgical office environment)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Reliable and available MondayFriday (per schedule above)
Ability to pass a standard background check
