Job Description:
The Administrative Operations and Communications Coordinator provides professional administrative, communications, and operational support to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs and the Chair of the Department of Management & Marketing. The role serves as the primary point of contact for the Department, supports student-facing services, manages departmental communications and digital presence, and ensures efficient day-to-day operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Administrative and Departmental Support
Provide administrative support to the Assistant Dean and Department Chair
Serve as primary point of contact for the Department
Manage departmental mail, correspondences, supplies, and inventory
Prepare department travel and other forms for the Department’s faculty and staff when necessary
Student Services and Customer Support
Assist students with registration and overrides
Provide excellent customer service
Communications and Digital Presence
Maintain social media pages
Update departmental website and landing page
Promote programs and concentrations
Operations and Project Support
Support departmental projects with limited supervision
Assist with events and initiatives
Other Duties as Assigned
Assigned by the Dean, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs, and/or Department Chair
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications, Marketing, or related field
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential information (keep confidential information confidential)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Canvas, Banner, Watermark, Navigate 360
Preferred Qualifications
Higher education experience
Website or social media management experience
Familiarity with student information systems
