Material Handler

POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports the Print Department by completing material handling, file ripping, electronic transaction, and material preparation tasks according to production standards and schedules.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gathers raw materials required for printing
Removes completed jobs from presses and delivers to the next operation
Transacts inventory movements in a timely manner
Rips print files for operators
Sheets and squares raw material according to the schedule
Performs periodic in-process quality checks
Electronically transacts material movements, as well as order confirmations
Monitors press scrap for proper recycling
Operate assigned equipment safely in accordance with company and OSHA safety programs and rules.
Performs work in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.
Monitors quality points at workstation and records required data.
Reports quality and production concerns and issues to supervisor.
Conducts operator level preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule.
Keeps the work environment neat and clean.
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years of experience in Print, Design, or Manufacturing
Associates degree or advanced training/certification in design, graphics, or operations preferred, but not required.
Advanced degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and see.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $16 USD - $18 USD hourly. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
