Shipping & Receiving Representative

ColorCoat, Inc., headquartered in West Sacramento, CA, is the largest paint and coatings applicator in the US, serving window and door manufacturers with multiple facilities across the country. We are currently seeking Shipping and Receiving Clerks for our Cedar Rapids, IA, location.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a good understanding of shipping and receiving process within a fast paced production environment. Ability to load and unload merchandise by hand, and by forklift follow shipping and receiving practices and procedures. Experience with barcode scanning software is preferred. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Checks units in and out either manually or by scanning as required, using bar code scanning software and hardware
Secures loads to trailer with carts or by floor loading
Ensures accuracy of paperwork in both shipping and receiving and turns in to designated person
Receives any supplies delivered to location
Stages next order for production as required
Communicates any damaged or incomplete units to manager or designated person
Ensures accuracy with labels and reports any discrepancies to manager or designated person
Follows safety guidelines
Follows manager's directions
Maintains productive pace as set by manager
Maintains clean workspace
Communicates shipping supplies inventory to management
Assists in other areas of production as needed
Works cooperatively with other team members
Performs other related duties as assigned
