An established firm specializing in high-voltage substations and switchyards is seeking a Civil Engineer with structural and site design experience to join its team in Alexandria, LA. This is a small-team, high-impact environment where your work directly supports major infrastructure projects across multiple states.
What You’ll Do
Design substation foundations and structural systems
Perform civil grading and site layout for high-voltage facilities
Execute shallow and deep foundation calculations
Support hydrology and hydraulic calculations
Assist with SWPPP preparation and erosion control documentation
Coordinate directly with clients and project stakeholders
Meet submission and fabrication schedules
Contribute to full ground-up substation development
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
FE/EIT completed or scheduled within 9 months
2–3+ years of relevant civil/structural design experience
Proficiency in: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad (STAAD Pro, Lpile, RISA Foot a plus)
Knowledge of grading, drainage, and site development
