Production Planner

Owen Daniels is currently partnered with a world leader in aerospace technology. They are a global brand who covers the full lifecycle of aircraft components, including design, manufacturing, and in-service support. They are currently seeking a Production Planner for their MRO facility in Miami, FL.

This position would suit a Supply Chain graduate or candidate with supply chain planning experience where lead times are critical.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

Plans, schedules and monitors products through the full production cycle to ensure production requirements are met
Works from engineering plans and production specifications to confirm production has the necessary resources to execute on schedule
Advises management on work-in-progress status and interfaces with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, program management, and external customers
Ensures materials and labor are available to meet production requirements and delivery commitments
Identifies and resolves material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions
Establishes and maintains inventory targets, developing action plans to reduce exposure and address excess or obsolete parts
Performs a technical lead planning role to drive improvement goals and provides SAP training to planners to ensure consistent and accurate scheduling

Essential/Desirable Experience Required

4- year University Degree essential
Education or experience within supply chain/production planning is desirable

Test completed tools and dies to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and defects.
Perform tooling modifications, repairs, and preventative maintenance to extend tool life.
Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
Support ISO compliance procedures and adhere to quality management system requirements.
Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with engineering and production teams.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of five years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker or working with jigs and fixtures in a manufacturing environment.
