Truck Shipment Management Specialist

Inside the role, this position manages inbound and outbound domestic and Canadian used truck shipments in support of new truck customers, transporters, storage vendors, and the dealer and SelecTrucks network. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of all receiving, shipping, repair, and inventory documentation to support recordkeeping, audits, and compliance requirements. The specialist monitors storage inventory, repairs, maintenance, and vendor invoicing, and reconciles discrepancies as needed. This role requires a working knowledge of transportation and storage contracts and the ability to manage exceptions or changes in process flows across multiple customer types, including dealers, fleets, and external customers. Close collaboration with Acquisitions, Inspections, Controlling, Marketing, Sales, and other internal teams is essential to ensure operational success and a positive customer experience.
What You Drive at DTNA
Maintain and process all inbound and outbound receiving and shipping records using vendor systems and processes
Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of inbound and outbound shipments
Expedite shipments when required to meet business and customer needs
Review transportation incidents and accident root causes, working with transporters to determine fault
Process documentation to secure reimbursement for transportation-related damage
Investigate and resolve internal and external shipping and receiving issues
Partner with internal functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve process effectiveness
Collaborate with Used Truck Acquisitions and Sales teams to monitor and enhance customer satisfaction
Create, analyze, and distribute operational, inventory, and performance reports
Coordinate shipment timing for used truck sales across retail, wholesale, and export channels
Support KPI analysis and corrective action implementation in partnership with Analyst II
Monitor storage inventory and ensure repairs are reviewed, approved, and processed for payment
Conduct quarterly audits of storage inventory, repairs, and approvals, maintaining accurate audit records
Ensure all shipping, inventory, and vendor documentation remains current and compliant
Participate in inventory, vendor, and customer fleet meetings to report shipment status
Participate in or lead special projects focused on process improvement
Maintain performance metrics and KPIs for compliance tracking and reporting
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree, is required
Requires basic understanding of theories, practices, and procedures related to job field
Works within standard practices and procedures to analyze information and problems of limited scope
Works within standardized procedures to meet objectives and deadlines
