The role:
We are seeking a dynamicLead Engineer, Materials Quality Engineering- Business Operations with a strong commitment to excellence and the drive to help build a worldclass raw material supply chain for the industry's most advancedCMP Polishing Pads. This position supports theMaterials Solutions Divisionand plays a critical role in elevating raw material quality fornextgenerationN2 and beyond CMP applications.
In this role, the engineer will use statistical and analytical techniques to prevent and resolverawmaterialdrivennonconformances, while partneringcrossfunctionallywith Product Management, Production Engineering, and Customer Quality to develop OCAPs, technical reports, 8D analyses, andcustomerfacingpresentations. The position will also serve as a representative of theMaterials Quality Organizationduring customer investigations as needed and collaborate closely with teams inthe United Statesand Taiwan.

What you'll do:
Develops andmaintainsStatistical Process Control (SPC)for criticalrawmaterialparameters,including, control limit calculations, SPC rules, trigger mechanisms, and reaction guides.
Applies statistical and analytical techniquesto evaluate raw materials prior to production use, reducing customer OCAPs and preventing customerlinestoppages.
Leads 8Dproblemsolvingteamsto conduct failure analysis,rootcauseinvestigation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) forrawmaterialrelateddefects; ensures corrective action closure within defined timelines.
Generates, analyzes, andreportsrawmaterialquality performancethrough Pareto analysis, SPC, andprocesscapabilitystudies across assignedproductlineareas.
Responds to customer inquiries and excursionsby conducting detailedrawmaterialdata analysis,identifyinglinkages to customer performance issues, preparing OCAPs, and drivingtimelycorrective actions.
Develops and reports statistical datarelated toqualitysystemperformance, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal qualityobjectives.
Supports andmaintainstherawmaterialfailureanalysisprocess, ensuring consistent feedback loops, communication, and CAPA implementation in alignment with customer requirements.
Partners with the Global Materials Quality Engineering team and suppliersto facilitaterootcauseinvestigations, driveprocessimprovementobjectives, andcoleaddirect supplier communication during critical customer events.
Leads andparticipatesinmaterialdispositiondecisions, coordinating hold/release activities and ensuring no escapes occur duringqualityissuereview.
Collaborates with Production, Engineering, and R&Dto evaluate nonconforming raw materials and ensureappropriate,riskbaseddisposition.
Technical Requirements:
- Solid understanding ofchemical manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methodologies, structuredproblemsolvingtechniques,SPC, andFMEA.
Technical knowledge ofpolymeric materials, adhesives, and polyurethane foams.
Strong ability toanalyze, synthesize, and summarize complex data setsto drive cleardecisionmakingand action.
Experience working in achemical or industrial manufacturing environment.
Proficiencywith statistical software such asMinitab, JMP, or SAS.
Demonstrated ability to applysound technical judgment and autonomousdecisionmakingin afastpacedenvironment.

What we seek:
Education:B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Sciencerequired; advanced degree preferred.Six SigmaBlackBeltcertification preferred.
Experience:7+years ofexperience ininorganic or organic chemical manufacturing, semiconductorfabor a closely related field.
Experience in thesemiconductor, microelectronics, orhightechindustryrequired.
Prior experience working directly withsuppliers or customerson quality, technical investigations, or issue resolution is strongly preferred.
Full professionalproficiencyinEnglish;additionalproficiency inChineseis a plus.
Project managementexperiencea plus.
Ability to travel up to5%, including international travel as needed.

Compensation: 114,000.00 - 142,500.00 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
