Shipper/Receiver

We are seeking a Shipper/Receiver to help in our busy parts department. The Shipper Receiver acts as the principle person in charge of the receipt and shipment of the inventory as it is received from the manufacturer, suppliers or dealerships and sold to consumers.
$17-$20 an hour
Principal duties and responsibilities include:
Checks in all stock orders upon receipt
Notifies the parts manager of any parts that are received damaged or missing from any type of order
Keeps all parts shelves stocked using the space available in an efficient manner.
Maintains receipts in all special-order parts
Maintains a special-order file of arrived/receipted parts by customer
Notifies appropriate managers and staff members of the receipt of special-order parts ordered through service, retail counter or wholesale
Notifies the parts manager of special-order parts receipted that have not been picked up or installed.
Maintains a backorder file
Assists in picking up emergency orders and making deliveries
If an outside delivery company is being used, ensure that all appropriate shipping requirements of that company and OSHA have been met.
Maintains a safe, clean working environment and performs housekeeping duties as requested by the parts manager.
Conduct yourself professionally while in the workplace
Treat each customer and co-worker with kindness and respect
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Keeps current on new products and product updates
Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times, including work areas
Uniform must be worn when on the job.
Complies with all Route 24 Auto Group attendance policies
Report to management any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employees.
Must use company phones safely and in accordance with all traffic rules and regulations.
Use company phones for business related purposes only
Adheres to all department safety policies as required by management including but not limited to protective safety gear
Meets a minimum lifting requirement of 10 lbs from the ground to head height. Maintains appropriate safe lifting practices.
Education / Skills Experience:
Must have excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate in person, over the phone and in writing as well as strong interpersonal and customer services skills
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment required.
Participates in all training programs, including DOT and parts training, as appropriate.
Must be detail oriented and well organized
5+ years' experience in similar positions
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Physical demands: Heavy (requires lifting 100 lbs., with frequent carrying of up to 50 lbs.)
Supervisor: Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager
