Responsibilities
Prepare and configure presses and writing systems to support engineering tests, experiments, and development trials
Execute non‑standard and experimental print jobs according to test plans and engineering requirements
Monitor press performance during test runs and make real‑time adjustments to ensure accurate results
Run engineering tests safely and accurately while maintaining data integrity and traceability
Utilize offline test tools to evaluate print quality
Document test setups, procedures, parameters, and outcomes using approved documentation systems
Ensure test records are clear, complete, and reproducible
Communicate test status, observations, and results to engineers and stakeholders in a timely manner
Participate in test reviews, technical discussions, and problem‑solving efforts
Provide hands‑on technical feedback to support engineering analysis and design improvements
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of presses and writing systems
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient press and lab environment
Follow all safety, environmental, and operational guidelines
Requirements
Advanced experience operating and troubleshooting industrial, digital, or production printing systems
Experience supporting engineering tests, experiments, or development activities
Strong written documentation skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently on complex technical tasks
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Technical problem solving and troubleshooting
Process discipline and documentation accuracy
Collaboration in cross‑functional engineering teams
Time management and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with presses or writing systems
Experience in an R&D, engineering, or experimental lab environment
Familiarity with test validation, failure analysis, or experimental workflows
Experience mentoring or supporting other technicians
Work Environment
Hands‑on work in a press, lab, or engineering test environment
May require standing, lifting, and working around mechanical equipment
Adherence to safety and environmental requirements is mandatory
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
