Job Summary/Purpose: The Production Supervisor is to oversee operations in our cable tray manufacturing facility. They will ensure efficient production processes, maintain quality standards, and lead a team of production workers to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of production teams in cable tray fabrication and assembly.
  • Monitor production schedules, adjusting resources and workflow to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster growth and improve performance.
  • Partner with engineering, quality control, and maintenance teams to resolve production challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records, including shift reports, downtime logs, and inventory usage.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and boost productivity.
  • Ensure proper use and upkeep of machinery and tools.
  • Keep production areas organized and compliant with 5S standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for meetings and operational updates.

Required Qualifications/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in manufacturing or industrial management preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal fabrication or cable tray production.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality control systems.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualification:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in industrial technology, manufacturing management, or related field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling tools.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
  • Requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Will involve shift work, evenings and some weekends, depending on production needs.

Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal travel; occasional visits to other facilities or training sessions may be required.
