Lead Shipping/Receiving
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shipping/Receiving process, including coordinating shipments, assisting with inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to production floor. Assist in directing activities of shipping/receiving associates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist in directing shipping/receiving clerks to ensure efficient and accurate processing of orders.
Ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensuring Kanban milk runs / refills and material pulls for production floor are done in timely and accurate manner.
Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
Assist with inventory counts and audits.
Maintaining a clean and organized shipping/receiving area.
Developing and implementing procedures to improve efficiency to reduce errors.
Training new employees in shipping/receiving processes and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in shipping/receiving operations.
Organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Detail-oriented with problem solving abilities.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
MS Office Suite
SAP experience preferred
Effective communication skills
Detail oriented
Good understanding of process and process organization
Forklift license
