YOUR ROLE
The Field Sales Account Executive II (Business Development Manager) – Air & Ocean Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business and expanding existing customer relationships for international air and ocean freight services. This role focuses on solution‑based selling, customer retention, and market expansion while partnering closely with operations and internal stakeholders to deliver high‑quality logistics solutions.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow air and ocean freight revenue within an assigned territory
Identify, prospect, and secure new customers through field sales activities, networking, and referrals
Manage and grow an existing portfolio of accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long‑term retention
Understand customer supply chain needs and provide tailored logistics solutions (Air, Ocean, multimodal)
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and pricing aligned with customer requirements
Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements in collaboration with pricing and procurement teams
Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts, and customer data in CRM systems
Partner with operations, customer service, and trade management teams to ensure smooth execution and service delivery
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Strong knowledge of international air and ocean freight forwarding
Proven field sales and business development experience
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to build trust‑based relationships with customers and internal teams
Results‑driven mindset with strong pipeline and territory management skills
Analytical ability to understand pricing, margins, and cost drivers
Comfortable working independently in a field‑based role
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred)
3–7+ years of sales experience in freight forwarding or logistics
Experience selling Air and Ocean freight solutions
Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory
