Job Summary
We're seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Hatch. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical design, testing, and system integration and the ability to manage multiple complex projects from concept through production. You'll be a key contributor to our team, leveraging your expertise to design and test PCBAs and electrical systems for a wide range of products. If you're a hands-on engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment but can also take the lead on individual projects, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Team Player: You'll be a key player in our cross-functional technical teams, where your contributions will help turn innovative concepts into reality. You are comfortable working both independently and as part of larger teams.
Design and Testing: You will design and test Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and electrical systems in our office and labs, from conceptualization to execution.
Inquisitive Mind: You work on multiple projects simultaneously, constantly seeking solutions and delivering results that exceed expectations.
PCBA Expertise: You are well-versed in PCBA design, debugging, testing, and the seamless transfer of designs to manufacturing.
Component Research and Selection: Your discerning eye helps you research, evaluate, and select the right components for our projects, ensuring the best quality and performance.
Altium Designer: You are a master of Altium Designer, creating and optimizing electrical designs.
PowerPoint and Excel: You master Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel to communicate ideas clearly and efficiently.
Qualifications
5-15+ years of applicable experience in electrical engineering
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Firmware development and debugging experience is a plus
Proficiency in Altium Designer
Passion for innovation and eagerness to explore new concepts
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, overseeing multiple projects from ideation to completion
Extensive experience with PCBA design, advanced debugging, and managing the manufacturing transfer process
Keen eye for component research, evaluation, and selection
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for high-level communication and reporting to stakeholders and leadership
