Description

The role of a Host is to delight our guests, be the face of the company, and ensure a smooth dining experience from the time someone walks into the restaurant to the time they leave. A typical shift includes greeting guests, escorting them to their tables, managing wait-time, answering phones, and taking reservations. Operate and troubleshoot reservation software. Stay current on menu options, specialties, and menu deviation.

• Welcome, all guests with a genuine and delightful smile. Interact with guests as they arrive and leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience
• Use the guest name whenever possible
• Identify special occasions and extend wishes
• Be a team player. Support and be supported by your co-workers
• Work well with employees & managers
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking and organization skills in fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and professional maturity

Experience

• Minimum 1-year Hosting experience. (upscale dinning preferred.)
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
