**About The Brand**Sadie’s restaurant and garden bar in New York City’s Seaport, is bringing New American comfort food, an indoor-outdoor bar experience, and year-round programming to one of Lower Manhattan’s most vibrant waterfront neighborhoods.**About the Role**Seaport Entertainment is looking for a Host to be based in Sadie's. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for welcoming/greeting guests to the restaurant and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. The Host duties include maintaining a waitlist of guests during service, distributing menus, confirming restaurant contact information to guests, accepting phone calls, making and adjusting reservations, as well as working with the service team to ensure the restaurant is seated in a timely and efficient manner. Assist guests with inquiries, provide information about the menu, and offer guidance on restaurant policies to ensure a seamless dining experience. Keep the host/hostess station and waiting area tidy, contributing to the overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the restaurant. Address guest concerns or issues with professionalism and tact, seeking assistance from management when needed to ensure customer satisfaction. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as answering phones, managing reservations, and coordinating with servers, while maintaining a positive and composed demeanor. 1+ year of host experience in a fine dining, high volume setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage waitlist dynamics effectively. Familiarity with reservation systems and basic restaurant operations is a plus. **Physical Requirements*** Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.* Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).* Ability to stand for long periods of time.**Compensation: $18 – 20 per hour**To us, your career is more than a job—its a journey.
