Summary
The Global Edge Group has a very exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager, Direct Hire, with a national/global power client. The candidate must have strong Transmission and interconnection, AND /OR offshore wind Business development skills, coupled with knowledge of the MISO region (Midcontinent Independent System Operators)
Purpose
The Business Development Manager will support the client's efforts to capitalize on the growing opportunity for investment in competitive transmission in ISOs and RYO's access to the US through the origination, development, and delivery of competitive transmission projects in the Midwest region.
The BDM will work closely with the Commercial Strategy, Regulatory and Policy, and Asset Development teams to build the client's presence in MISO and support the execution of a holistic US commercial transmission strategy.
Qualifications
Minimum bachelor's degree and advanced post-graduate degree (MA, MBA) preferred with relevant work experience in transmission infrastructure development, policy, and/or in the energy industry more broadly, leading projects (7 + years’ experience)
Demonstrated experience in Business Development
Knowledge of the US Power industry and transmission development
Knowledge of federal and state assigning processes, experience with FERC and MISO processes and polices is desirable.
