HOST - Seasonal
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for taking reservations, greeting and seating guests, taking to-go orders, and processing payments in line with the company’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet all guests as they enter the restaurant in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
Follow all seating and table rotation guidelines to monitor flow of each area and ensure prompt and efficient service for all guests while being sensitive to Server responsibilities.
Assist guests in person and over the telephone with dining reservations.
Accurately take to-go orders from guests and submit to kitchen using Point-of-Sales (POS) software.
Possess knowledge of restaurant and bar menu, including specials and promotions.
Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Promote teamwork by assisting Servers and Bussers in the dining area when needed.
Ensure host station (including the entrance area) is always well maintained, clean, organized, and presentable.
Understand company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, Health & Safety standards, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Demonstrated high level of organization and time management skills
Must be able to count change and reconcile paperwork
Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment in close proximity to other people
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally
Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
HOURLY WAGE: $15.00
