Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Space Systems Test & Communications Engineer/Scientist to support an innovative program office. In this role, you will provide technical expertise supporting space-based communications architectures and the planning and execution of integrated space system test activities. You will coordinate across government, industry, and laboratory partners to support mission integration, test planning, and program execution.
Work Location
Onsite: Arlington, VA.
Travel
Some local and domestic travel required (approximately twice per quarter).
Clearance
Active TS/SCI required.
Required Experience
Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field.
5+ years of relevant work experience.
Working knowledge of space-based communications architectures including ground entry points, radios, and integration of hardware and software systems.
Experience supporting space-based test planning and execution, including defining test objectives and measures of performance.
Experience leading or supporting test working groups for integrated space systems with multiple payloads and diverse partners.
Experience coordinating across government, industry, and laboratory organizations.
Experience leading Mission Integration Working Groups and coordinating agendas, security baselines, and test planning activities.
Experience supporting test readiness reviews and analyzing data from test events.
Ability to prepare program documentation including briefings, presentations, and memorandums.
Experience working in both SAP and TS/SCI environments.
Strong understanding of methodologies for transmitting data via secure and open communications pathways.
Desired Experience
Experience supporting programs with transition partners including the Air Force, NASA, Space Force, NRO, and SSC.
Experience supporting large-scale integrated space system test events and mission demonstrations.
Experience working with multiple government organizations and contractors in complex program environments.
Experience facilitating cross-organizational technical working groups.
