Business Development Manager
Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening strategic partnerships for BOGE Assembly. This role combines commercial leadership, outside sales growth, procurement oversight, vendor management, and strategic development of a future sales division. The BDM will play a critical role in expanding customer base within industrial gas companies, petrochemical plants, LNG facilities, refineries, and power generation sectors.
Essential Functions
Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting ASU operators, EPC firms, industrial gas companies, and OEM-alternative markets.
Conduct field visits, technical sales presentations, and plant walkdowns.
Build executive-level relationships with reliability managers, plant managers, and procurement teams.
Build and formalize the company's Sales Division structure.
Establish a standardized proposal and bid processes.
Develop pricing strategy framework aligned with margin goals.
Implement KPIs and dashboard reporting for sales performance.
Conduct plant visits, technical sales presentations, and reliability reviews.
Oversee strategic sourcing of repair components and services.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreements.
Improve gross margin through supply chain optimization.
Monitor vendor performance metrics (quality, delivery, cost).
Track competitor service offerings and pricing structures.
Provide strategic market feedback to operations and leadership.
Expand turbo expander overhaul and rotating equipment repair market share.
Achieve annual revenue and margin growth targets.
Create account management tiers (Strategic / Growth / Maintenance).

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent - required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Business, or related field - required
Master's degree in business administration - required
Work Experience
10 years - Experience selling into industrial gas, petrochemical, or energy markets - Required
10 years - Experience in turbomachinery repair, rotating equipment, or industrial services - Required
10 years - Experience with procurement and supplier negotiations - Required
Knowledge, Skills & Responsibilities
Knowledge
Technical & Industry Knowledge of turbo expanders, rotating equipment and cryogenic pumps.
Commercial & Financial Knowledge of industrial sales cycles, cost modeling, and pricing strategies.
Supply Chain & Procurement Knowledge of lead time optimization, contract terms, and supplier negotiations.
API 610 / API 617 Familiarity
