Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Database Design Admin 3 to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Engineering Directorate Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Office. The role involves developing and maintaining advanced software tools to enhance analysis, productivity, and data management. The incumbent will work with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and optimize solutions that drive operational efficiency and improve user experience, leveraging AI tools and technologies to increase development efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities Design and implement tools and scripts in ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint to automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting tasks.
Customize ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence workflows, templates, and macros to support business processes.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand automation requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Monitor and improve performance of automation tools, addressing issues proactively.
Write clear, maintainable code and documentation.
Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance in all automated processes.
Develop, test, and deploy software solutions while leveraging AI for code suggestions and optimizations.
Automate repetitive development tasks using AI‑driven coding assistants.
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to improve process workflows.
Develop user interfaces in ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint with a focus on usability and user experience.
Gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
Participate in and present findings at working‑group meetings, coordination meetings, peer reviews, and other technical interchange meetings.
Design, develop, and build functional SharePoint sites that are easy to use and user friendly.
Update site content to keep pages up to date as required.
Develop and implement software solutions that support MDA initiatives.
Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
5 years of applicable software development experience.
Active secret clearance required to start.
Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.
Experience with Systems Engineering Process; collecting and developing requirements to ensure collaborative activity, permissions, workflows, and site configurations are implemented cohesively.
Significant experience developing process automation tools in one or more of the following platforms: Power Automate, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, & SharePoint.
Ability to work in an agile development environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to use AI‑driven development.
Experience in user interface design and process workflow design.
Detail‑oriented with a focus on delivering high‑quality solutions.
Preferred Qualifications Experience developing process automation tools in ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
Experience with data visualization using Microsoft Power BI.
Experience developing software requirements.
Experience working on DoD software programs or government contracts.
Experience with programming languages and frameworks including JSON, HTML, Java, JavaScript, CSS, GIT lab, Power Automate, PowerBI, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT.
Schedule / Work Location / Travel / Relocation / Benefits Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8‑5.
Work Location: Onsite.
